Health and beauty retailer Clicks Group is to acquire Sorbet Holdings, the owners of the national chain of Sorbet beauty salons, for R105 million.

Clicks Group increased retail sales by 11.7% in the year to August 2022 as the group overcame serious headwinds in the trading environment and reported higher margins, tight cost control, continued strong cash flows and enhanced returns to shareholders.

Clicks Group increased retail sales by 13.6% in the six months to February 2022 as Clicks gained market share, continued to expand its store and pharmacy network and supported the national Covid-19 vaccination programme.

Pharmacy, health and beauty retailer Clicks has opened its 800th store at Somerset Crossing in the Western Cape.

Clicks Group today reported another resilient performance in the year to August 2021 despite the trading disruption from the KwaZulu-Natal civil unrest and the ongoing impact of Covid-19 on consumer shopping behaviour.
