Cape Town – Keith Warburton has been appointed to the newly-created position of chief operating officer of the Clicks chain.

Warburton, 55, is a highly experienced retail executive who served as chief financial officer of the Clicks Group from 2005 to 2011. He resigned two years ago to take a break from the corporate environment.

Group chief executive officer, David Kneale, said “Keith has extensive strategic, financial and operational experience in the retail industry. We are pleased that he has rejoined the group to take on this leadership role in the Clicks chain”.

“His knowledge of the Clicks business and his relationship with all stakeholders, including management, staff, suppliers and property owners, will enable him to be effective immediately in managing the chain,” said Kneale.

The Clicks executive committee will report to Warburton, who will in turn report to David Kneale. Warburton joins Clicks on 6 May.
